The Nordea Graduate Programme is a 1,5-year programme, starting in September each year. During that period you’ll follow a learning plan, working in various departments with clear learning objectives to support your growth.

The streams are implemented for you to navigate and find your best starting point at Nordea. This means that the streams are not separate programme tracks, all graduates in Nordea follow the same programme structure no matter of the chosen stream. However the learning by doing will of course differ depending on the chosen stream.
When applying to the Graduate Programme you choose one of the Career Streams below. These are built on the future skills needed in Nordea. Each stream will give the graduate a home team that will host the graduate throughout the Programme. It is also this home team where the graduate will be offered to start their career after the Programme has ended.
Are you interested in continuing our great work to protect Nordea so we can continue to be a safe and trusted financial partner to our customers and partners? Then this is the right stream for you. Regulations continue to increase, with focus shifting towards managing threats from new technology and external trends, including cybersecurity, digital currencies, third-party providers and ESG risks (environmental, social and governance). This stream will give you the opportunity to work with risk and compliance in an area of growing importance for the bank.
We’re seeking graduates who can provide personal, tailored and inclusive advisory services to a new generation of customers. Join us and help make tomorrow a little better than today – one piece of advice at a time. This stream is our customer path where you will work with the personal or corporate customer side of our business. This is part of Nordea’s core banking services and a key for our success as a bank. Do you want to be part of shaping the future of banking and support us in transforming technology in finance and banking? Then you’re in the right place. We’re seeking graduates with the ability to design highly valued digital services and optimize untapped sales opportunities. Operational Excellence is the stream where we make sure that the bank runs efficiently. We are identifying trends and formulating business insights, measuring and operating the efficiency of banking and people processes and articulate recommendations and support. Join this stream to secure that the bank continues to be on top of trends and take the next steps in how to operate in a profitable and sustainable way.
We’re seeking graduates who can leverage enormous amounts of data to improve customer services, sales opportunities and risk management. Join us and use the power of data to make tomorrow a little better than today. This stream will focus on data analytics in different forms depending on your own aspirations. In general, business leaders foresee a need for more experienced and senior analysts, so take this opportunity to join an area that works to meet a growing need for the bank.

We accept applications for the programme in two rounds per academic year: September and January.
First application round starts.
You are welcome to apply between 2- 30 September - you might be required to complete an online assessment test.
We will arrange the first interviews online and we will arrange the second interview preferable in the office throughout the month of October. All selected candidates will receive job offers by the end of October.
Second application round starts.
You are welcome to apply between January 15 and February 15 - you might be required to complete an online assessment test.
The first interview rounds will start in the end of February.
The second interviews will be arranged throughout the month of March. All selected candidates will receive job offers by the end of March.

The Nordea Graduate Programme is a 1,5-year programme where Nordea develops our next generation of leaders and experts.
The programme always start 1 September and we have two recruitment waves one in September each year and one in January. The next recruitment wave will start in September 2024 with a start date 1 September 2025.
Yes, as long as you have graduated before you start the programme on 1 September.
Yes, you can have up to two years’ post-academic working experience.
We value all experiences and skills, banking and finance is not needed to apply for the programme.
Yes, as a Nordea graduate you work in a paid full-time position and we offer a competitive entry level salary. The salary and benefits are based on local terms and applicable in the country that you’re hired in.
As a Nordea Graduate you’re in the driving seat of your own development. This means that together with your Graduate Leader you will decide the areas and duration of your job rotations. We recommend one to three job rotations throughout the programme where six months can be spent in different business area.
Depending on business area, the number and duration of rotations may vary but our ambition is to support your preferred career path in agreement with your Graduate Leader.
Upon finishing the programme, the unit that has been your host unit during your Nordea Graduate Programme will evaluate where your next position at Nordea could be.

Applications for the Nordea Graduate Programme are assessed on an ongoing basis. All positions will be offered by the end of October 2025 for the first round and by the end of March 2026 for the second round.
